  • Chicken 300 gms
  • Onion 2
  • Green chilly 2
  • Capsicum 1
  • Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Garlic 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves 1 string
  • Cashews & raisins 1 tbsp each
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Red dry chilly 2
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Cinnamon stick 1
  • Cardamom 4
  • Red chilly powder 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Chicken masala powder 1 tsp

Chicken with spices

Method:

  • Keep a cooker on a flame.Add washed chicken it it.Add salt & little water. Leave it for 2 whistles.
  • Take a deep wok. Add oil.
  • Add all dry spices like mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red dry chilly, bay leaf, cinnamon stick & cardamom. Saute them till it leaves a wonderful aroma.
  • Add cashews and raisins. Let it fry and become golden in colour.20170429_194601
  • Add curry leaves, slitted green chilly, chopped ginger & garlic.
  • Add diced onion & capsicum. Add a pinch of salt. Mix it until onion becomes translucent.
  • Add dry masala powders & mix well.
  • Add boiled chicken in it along with the chicken stalk from the cooker.
  • Leave it on medium flame for 20 minutes with closed lid. The chicken stalk will reduce & turn into a semi-dry starter.
  • Sprinkle chicken masala powder & coriander leaves.
