This traditional dish from Kerala is very delicious and healthy.
Dry Roast parboiled rice, dry ginger and jeera till rice is brown.Powder and keep aside.
In a pan, melt jagaree in 1/2-3/4 cup of water
Filter the jagaree water and add the grated coconu. Keep stiring till all the water is absorbed.
Add the powdered rice into the jagaree-coconut mixture. Keep aside.
Make a soft dough of the rice powder using hot water.
Take a banana leaf and keep a small portion of the rice dough on one end and spread this with the help of your fingers.
Keep the coconut mixture and fold the leaf to half.
Steam this for approximately 10 minutes. You will notice that the leaf gets seperated from the Ada once cooked.
Serve hot as an evening snack.
