Adai- Mixed Dal Dosa


½ Cup Raw Rice
2 Tbsp Toor Dal
2 Tbsp Green Gram Dal
2 Tbsp Bengal Gram
2 Tbsp Channa Dal/Split Bengal Gram
2 Tbsp Urad Dal/White Lentils
2 Tbsp Chickpeas
2 Tbsp Peanuts
2 Tbsp Rajma/Red Kidney Beans
4-5 Dry Kashmiri Red Chillies
2-3 Red Chillies
1 Tsp Asafoetida
Salt to taste
Oil for roasting


-Soak the rice, lentils together for 6 hours. Grind to a paste with all other ingredients except oil.
-Add little water to make a batter as for the consistency of dosa. Keep the batter for 1 hour.
-Heat the tava and grease with little oil. Pour a ladleful of batter over the griddle.
– Spread it quickly and make it thick round dosa. Pour a teaspoonful of oil around the edges.
– Cover with the lid and cook for few minutes on medium heat until light brown on both sides.
– Serve hot with coconut chutney.
