Easy Fish Fry

Easy Fish Fry

Learned this yummy Fish Fry from my Mother-in-law for my hubby and now my son too enjoys eating this.

1/2 Kg Medium Sized Fish (cut to pieces)
2 Tbsp Red Chilly Powder
1 Tbsp Coriander Powder
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 Tsp Pepper Powder (Optional)
1 Tbsp Lime Juice
Salt to Taste
Oil for shallow fry

Clean the Fish nicely and make sure there is no dirt in it. Wash it nicely in water and keep aside.
In a bowl, mix in all the powders along with the salt.
Add the Lime juice and water if required to make a paste.
Take little quantity of the prepared Masala/paste and smear it on both sides of the fish pieces.
Cover it and keep aside for at-least 5-10 minutes for marinating (If there is no time this can be used even without marinating).
Heat oil in a shallow fry Pan. Put 1 Fish piece at a time and shallow fry it in Medium flame. Fry on both sides of the fish till light golden brown.
Drain on tissue paper. Serve with either Sambhar-Rice and Rasam-Rice. This also makes a great snack.

Note: Fish can be marinated and stored in air-tight boxes in the refrigerator freezer for daily usage. Stays good for a week.
